Memotech MTX500
It's taken a long while to get a fully working machine with all the bits but I've finally got some software to run on my latest MTX from Peter Jupp. He even managed to find the demo tape for it, and I was gobsmacked to see that the MTX could generate similar attribute clash that the Speccy made famous, though this seemed to be isolated to line drawing - sprite manipulation was clash-free and smooth. Also despite the fact I was using a similar age cassette recorder (nicked from Hektor) it didn't take too many attempts to load programs, though I gave up on the Draughts tape eventually. Peter also sent me some Memotech User Group (GENPAT) stuff that explains how to get smooth screen drawing in machine code so I'll give that a go one day.
